Noisy - plumbing clanked everytime surrounding rooms used their water, also was woken up by a bin truck beeping at 6 am.
No plug socket next tot eh bed - I had to move the bed closer to the desk to charge my phone.
Only using the finest seasonal products available, the menu includes pizza, pasta, risotto, grilled meats and fresh salads Relax in the luxurious surrounds of our recently refurbished LV Lounge & Bar. I seriously object to the price of the room of £ 145,- and I had a really bad night. I will certainly write a negative reference on Trip advisor.
Ideal for both business and pleasure the bar has an extensive range of beverages and the food menu contains traditional dishes all prepared using local produce whenever possible The hotel is a cute and very charming wooden building. Specially because the very friendly lady at the desk made her apologies for the room and she told me that the manager would send me a mail today.
They sent a maintenance technician with one small plug in heater to heat the room and the bathroom. " Exceeding Guest Satisfaction " must definitely be a completely unheard of concept in this hotel.
They did not move me and the space heater did not make a dent in the cold during my three night stay. On the whole we would prefer booking another hotel on our next visit to this beautiful city.
Was woken up in the morning by what I am assuming was housekeeping walking up and down corridor banging hoovers etc in the narrow hallway. We went for breakfast and told no breakfast here you have to walk round the corner to the ibis hotel, I could not believe it as it had snowed Heavily overnight and as I said earlier my wife was using crutches.
Also as I left to check out the hallway was difficult to get down with my suitcase due to housekeeping having left their supplies outside my room. Not asked if we needed help with language which was a bit of a surprise as are room was on the top floor and my wife was on crutches. ( not impressed ) The breakfast at the ibis was terrible beans cold bacon cold sausage cold mushrooms cold egg yes cold. Had a lovely stay, the staff members at the front desk are kind and attentive.
I am a coeliac and there was no suitable bread available at breakfast, however a most helpful waitress purchased some locally so that I could have toast. I need to stay in Reading for many nights during 2018, can you please ensure the internet issue is rectified?
Rooms are not double glazed, and therefore room noise insulation is very poor indeed.
Old, creaky floors mean that any movement outside your door makes a disturbing noise.
Many thanks to her The hotel is well located for Reading centre, but is a 10 min walk from a car park, if you have cases to drag. The hotel due to the buildings age is a bit up and down but i think it adds to its charm! Room was at the ok, warm and clean and was what I expected for the price.
Room wasn't too hot or cold (which for me is always a problem) and bed very comfy. UNTIL I woke up and realized I had NO water what so ever!!!!
